Colin White and Pastor Joy Gascoigne conducted the Ecumenical service in
the grounds of Willowgarth High School on News Years Eve. About 70
visitors attended the service and a firework display to celebrate the
end of the millennium year followed. The Town Council Mayor councillor
Chris Sykes lighted the beacon
