It was saddening this week to hear of the deaths of Denise Sault (nee Williams) and Jim Hoyland who emigrated to Australia. Jim Hoyland was born in Brierley in 1928 and lived at Number 23 Barnsley Road until 1963 when after a stint in the merchant navy he  emigrated to Australia where he sadly passed away two weeks ago. Denise who married Tony Sault and lived on Clifton Gardens passed away on Monday 3rd September. The web sites prayers and thoughts are with both families.
