Boys Brigade

Both the Junior Boys and Company Section meetings will take place in the Methodist Church Hall. The 7 to 11 year olds meeting will take place from 6.30pm till 8pm and the older boys will meet from 7pm till 9. Edwin and Elizabeth Hambleton will lead the boys.

Pop In

The next meeting of the Pop in club that is held at the Methodist church Hall will be on Thursday from 9.15am till 11am. Everyone is invited to pop in for tea, coffee, biscuits and a chat. Proceeds will be towards Church funds

Methodist Church

The children’s Jam club will be at 10.30am on Sunday morning and the service at 10.15am will will be taken by Mr J Hayward. The welcoming steward will be Norma and Eddie and Elizabeth will provide this weeks flowers. There is a karate club on Monday and Thursday at 7pm and the majorettes meet on Thursday and Friday at 4.30pm. A Bible study will take place in the medical centre on Church Drive on Thursday at 7pm. There will be a weight watchers class on Tuesday at 6.30pm.

Village club

There is a quiz night every Monday starting at 9pm.The winner last week was Volvo Phil.

Three Horse Shoes

There is a quiz night at the Three Horse Shoes on a Thursday at 9.30pm and on Sunday at 8pm there is a music, conundrum and general knowledge quiz. On Sunday the Les Parry and Andy shared first prize in the quiz. Les also won the conundrum. The head to head was not won and will be for £65 next week. On Thursday the Dead Heads won the quiz and the nearest too question. On Friday there will be a karaoke and on Saturday there will be a Northern Soul night with both events starting at 9pm.

Line Dancing

Line dancing will take place in the Methodist Church hall on Friday at 6.30pm.

Brierley Cubs FC

All this weeks matches in the Charles Rice Sunday league have been postponed.

Women’s Fellowship

The next women’s fellowship meeting that will take place in the Methodist Church Hall will be on Monday at 2pm.
