St Paul’s C of E School May Queen

 

Mr and Mrs Balmforth (Headmaster) crown the May Queen, but who is she? Bottom left is Ann Stirland with Christine Lomas next to her. Top left is Linda King and Marylyn Holden is next to her. Do you know the name of the May Queen? If so please email Gary

Mr Balmforth retired at Easter 1968 and a former pupil and Brierley resident Edwin Hambleton took his place as head of the school. Edwin himself has now retired and lives in South Hiendley. (February 2009)

 

Named by Veronica Goodwin (nee (Maralynn) Holden) Dubai and France

 She goes on to say that her mother made her and Linda's dresses.
