An aerial view of Grange House that was taken

in the 1970s. The red numbers show thespots (see each photograph) where I took the photographs

of the demolition from

Part of Grange House that was built in the early 1970s has been demolished by Berneslai Homes as part of a redevelopment project. The wing included 16 bedsits from which the remaining two tenants have been rehoused. It is hoped that in its place sheltered housing through a Housing Association might be developed over the next two to three years although no final decision has yet been made. A full consultation and option appraisal will be carried out with residents and their families before any further recommendations are made. The bedsits were unpopular with people on the waiting list due to shared bathroom facilities.

I will follow up on the next update with more photographs when the rubble has been cleared.

Did you take any photographs of the demolition? Would you like to share them on this web site?

If so send them in to Gary
