Burt
and his wife Elsie Blackshaw
Burt
and Elsie were the landlord and landlady of the Three Horse Shoes for many
years throughout the fifties and sixties. After Burt’s death, Elsie ran
the pub alone for a while before managing a beer off on Sheffield Road
Barnsley. She eventually retired back in Brierley on Grange Road
