Catherine and Mary at the front. Margaret married our local Mp Jeff Ennis.
Michael tragically died while serving in the Royal Navy. The family
originated from Grimethorpe but they all now live in Brierley. Their
parents are Martin and Elsie Knight who live on Grange Road (September
2005).

16 Hilltop. Dennis tells me that Alex’s father was the only person on
Hilltop to own a car at this time. It was a three-wheeler ‘Morgan’.
